Four offensive lineman for the Chicago Bears are free agents. Even though we had one of the worst lines in professional football, I see potential in all four vets. Jonathan Scott started seven games toward the end of the season. It is so hard to tell how good or even how much potential our linemen have. But I think Scott showed enough last year to get the Bears to pursue
Chris Spencer’s natural position is center. I do believe his versatility alone could land him another contract. That is, of course, unless another team is willing to over pay the eight year vet.
I’m not sure what to think about Chilo Rachal. He showed a quick first step early last season, looking for contact however he could. He also showed he was very protective of Cutler even after the whistle. Then he got benched and quit/retired. Hard telling what went on in that locker room, we’ll probably never know.
Click here to see my all time favorite Lance Louis play. It was a sad day for 2012 Chicago Bears when Louis was hit illegally by Minnesota’s Jared Allen (seen here). If Louis is ready to go in time for training camp, I see no reason the Bears don’t pursue him.
